Teen birth rate has increased for the second year in a row!
As of 2005, the southwest holds the states with the highest rates of teen pregnancies. For girls aged 15-19, New Mexico, Nevada, and Arizona have the highest birth rates, in that order. The states with the lowest birth rates are New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine in that order. Massachusetts is 43rd out of the 50 states for teenage birth rates.
